Sorry it has been a while since I have updated you on the training runs and training so far this season. Here is a quick story to tell about today's run. I just finished running two 4 dog teams. To bad I don't take the camera with me. First team had a little trouble when they wanted to say hi to the person walking their dogs. Second team well that was fun, had about half a mile to go, Cloud starts getting all excited, she had tried chasing the shadow of a bird earlier so I looked around for something she might want to chase, this is how I imagine the conversation went....
Cloud: Panda , Panda there are deer over there lets go get them!
Panda: No Cloud we have to stay on the trail.
Cloud: But there are deer, we can't just leave them there!
Racer: What is all the fuss about?
Cloud: There are deer we have to chase them!
Racer: Deer Where. Oh my gosh deer we have to chase them!!
Panda: Will you guys stay focused on the trail!
Sam: Dumb De Dumb
Cloud: There moving and they are coming at us, now we have to get them!
Cloud: They are running across the trail can we chase them now?
Panda: Fine, they are the ones on our trail lets get them!!
All Dogs: Deer lets get them
Me: WOAH. ON BY DOGS!
The dogs chased the deer all the way into the ditch where the rig decided it had enough and promptly wedged itself under a root. No one was hurt, but Cloud was rather upset with me for not letting her catch the deer. The other dogs blamed Cloud for the misadventure. And for the rest of the way home if it moved if counted as a deer to Cloud. Cars, corn, grass, it didn't make a difference to Cloud. Thankfully, the skunk I seen they didn't see.
Two young adults attempt to navigate the world. They are guided by each other and their passion for dogs.
